Couple accused of running illegal assisted living facilities held without bail

Marie Carenan and Ronald Pack, a husband and wife accused of operating nine unlicensed assisted living facilities in Polk and Osceola counties under inhumane conditions, were denied bond by a judge after the state argued they posed a danger to the community.
